Distributor Slate Day

This annual event’s objective is to create opportunities for distributors and exhibitors to explore and create new collaborative opportunities so that stronger ties can be forged in  the exhibition sector with distributors showcasing their exciting upcoming theatrical releases over two days, through an event packed with presentations and 1 to 1 meetings, an online offer with recorded presentations and digital meeting opportunities:

Dapo Oshiyemi said: ‘We at Talking Drum Entertainment are delighted to be presenting our slate of upcoming films and hopefully there will be many more Black films coming out of the UK not just to satisfy our large domestic audience but a global audience equally starved of great stories coming out of the UK’s black community’.

Adrian Wootton OBE, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said: ‘As a vital part of the film industry’s ecosystem, cinemas contribute significantly to the UK’s culture and economy. Now more than ever it’s so important that we support and celebrate what is unquestionably the best place for filmgoers to experience the magic of the movies. With independent distributors set to attend Distributor Slate Days, alongside returning majors, we look forward to what promises to be an exciting and diverse programme. I would like to thank the BFI Film Audience Network, Film Hub Scotland, Picturehouse Cinemas and our generous sponsors for their commitment and enthusiasm toward this event.

This year’s event takes place at Picturehouse Central the Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 September in partnership with Picturehouse Central and the Film Distributors’ Association (FDA) and kindly supported by Comscore, Filmbankmedia and usheru.
